What this is
Feed to Fork is a recipe-saving app. This page explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and what choices you have. We try to keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address, and (if you sign in with Google or Apple) the name and profile picture those providers share with us.
- Recipes you add: the URLs, text, and images you submit when you save a recipe, plus anything we extract from them (title, ingredients, steps, tags, notes you write).
- Activity: a log of actions on your account (sign-ins, recipes added, recipes opened) used for the in-app history feature.
- Device tokens: if you allow notifications, we store the push token your device gives us so we can tell you when an extraction finishes.
We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the mobile app. On the web, we use Vercel Speed Insights to measure page-load performance — it does not identify you.
What we do with it
- Show you the recipes you've saved and let you search them.
- Extract recipe content from the URLs, text, and images you submit.
- Send you push notifications about recipes you asked us to process.
- Keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed to make the app work, with services that process the data on our behalf:
- Anthropic (Claude): the text we extract from your submission is sent to Claude to turn it into a structured recipe.
- OpenAI (Whisper): audio from videos you submit is sent to Whisper to be transcribed.
- ScrapeCreators: Instagram URLs you submit are sent to ScrapeCreators to fetch the post.
- Cloudflare R2: image storage.
- Turso: our managed SQLite database.
- Google / Apple: if you sign in with them, they handle authentication.
- Expo: push notification delivery.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and recipes for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen — this removes your library, your activity log, and your account record. The underlying extracted-recipe rows (the cached output of the AI extraction) may be retained in anonymised form, since they don't identify you.
Your choices
- You can sign out at any time.
- You can delete your account from the profile screen.
- You can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- You can email us at hello@feedtofork.app to request a copy of your data, or to ask any privacy question.
Children
Feed to Fork is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
